Accessories turn a plain outfit into an extraordinary outfit!
Before I added them today, I felt really plain. Looking in the mirror, I saw my beautiful smile and I loved my hairdo, but where was my extra pep?
The yellow top I’m wearing does have interest because it has lace running down the front. It’s tempting to think I would feel fine because of that animation.
But even with the lace paneling on my shirt, I still felt blah.
Now, you might say, “Jaleah, you feel blah because you are always wearing jewelry.” But in reality, that’s not the case. The times I don’t wear jewelry, I leave the house thinking, “I’m just going to the store really quick, no time for jewelry.”
But I never regret taking a few extra minutes to add accessories! On the days I take those extra minutes, I am ready for whatever comes my way!
I am more confident in myself when I take the time to accessorize.
I was so excited to add the accessories because I could play with more color!
Instead of only wearing yellow, I added mint to my look! And I love mint! I chose it because I know it mixes well with all of my colors. So it was a no-brainer that mint would look fab with my yellow top!
I added the gold by my face with the necklace chain and the flash of bling with the flower earrings. Since the necklace was such a statement piece, I went with the simple post earrings. (My secondary 4 thanked me for making a more simple choice in earrings!)
I was inspired to get more creative with my hair by adding the headband. I had to wear a headband! I loved the pearls and gold peek-a-booing out of my hair. To tie the mint necklace in, I added my favorite bracelet and a mint leather band, along with a greek evil eye bracelet!
My look had transformed! When I looked in the mirror again, I realized how much cuter I felt. I hadn’t touched up my makeup since earlier in the morning, but I didn’t even notice that now that I had the gold lighting up my face.
Now I feel like seizing the day!
