Have you been at it a while and you&#8217;re frustrated and just want to get an answer? <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been my observation that when someone can&#8217;t feel confident in knowing her Energy Type, there are emotional issues to clear. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why I created a <a href=\"\/dyt\/clearing-exercise-for-determining-your-type\/\">powerful clearing session<\/a> that will help you lift the emotional fog that&#8217;s keeping you from seeing your true self.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Old wounds? Here&#8217;s how to heal them&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another way to open your eyes to see your true self is through a simple writing exercise.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s common that when we were young, our natural self, our Energy Type, was shamed. In an effort to avoid feeling that shame again, our minds will blind us from seeing who we truly are. Doing this writing exercise will help you clear the blindspots.<\/p>\n<p>Take each of the following open-ended statements, and write them on a piece of paper. Without giving it any thought, finish the statement with the first thing that comes to mind.  Do this 3 or 4 times.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I need someone else to tell me my Type because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I need Carol to tell me my Type because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I am angry about this because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s not fair that I still don&#8217;t know because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I don&#8217;t trust knowing myself because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s not safe to know my Type because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I really know my Type. I am a Type&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I want to keep avoiding it because&#8230;..<\/li>\n<li>I can&#8217;t have what others have because\u2026..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Now take a deep breath<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How did it go?  What did you learn about yourself?  What surprised you?  What answers did you receive?<\/p>\n<p>For even deeper support, I also recommend doing my <a href=\"\/dyt\/know-your-type-end-self-doubt\/\">inner child healing session<\/a>.
